Congo Effect Chestnut Crook
The original design and typical handle shape of a gentleman's country cane are present in these crook sticks. A year before it is scheduled to be harvested, the developing chestnut stick is pinched at regular intervals along its length to achieve the congo effect. The wounds then heal themselves. The bark of the stick is stripped away during harvest to reveal the knobbly cane beneath. has a rubber ferrule attached. 36 inches or 92 cm is the overall height.
